Build Notes (Wire Length Reference)

The included wiring is intentionally supplied longer than required so builders can route cables cleanly within the enclosure. For those who prefer to mirror the layout used in our Cosmic Pro-Series controller builds, these are the approximate wire lengths we typically cut when assembling this controller.

  • 10 AWG power wiring (PSU interconnects) — The kit includes 36" of red and 36" of black 10 AWG silicone wire. In our internal builds we typically cut these into the following lengths (one of each per color): 5", 6", 9.5", and 10.5".
  • 16 AWG port 17 and Turniput power wiring — The kit includes 18" of red/black paired 16 AWG silicone wire. In our builds we typically cut this into two sections: 5.5" and 10.5".

Wire lengths may vary slightly depending on routing preference and component placement. We recommend dry-fitting all components and planning your cable paths before trimming wiring.

What You Need to Provide

  • Basic hand tools (screwdrivers, cutters, hex keys, etc.)
  • Drill + bits for glands, passthroughs, and mounting holes
  • Ferrule and fork terminal crimping tools
  • Multimeter (recommended for verification and troubleshooting)

Skill Level & Safety

This kit requires comfort with low-voltage wiring and basic mains AC safety. You will drill the enclosure, mount devices, and wire both power supplies and the controller. Always follow local electrical codes and best practices when working with mains power. If you are not comfortable working with AC line voltage, consult a qualified electrician.

If you’d prefer a fully assembled and tested controller, consider our ready-to-run Cosmic Pro-Series prebuilt controller.
