We’re excited to announce the release of our Baldrick17 DIY Build Kit (Cosmic Pro-Series) — a professional-grade pixel controller kit designed for builders, installers, and creators who prefer to assemble the hardware themselves.

Built with the same curated components we use in our assembled Cosmic Pro-Series controllers, the Baldrick17 DIY kit provides a clean, durable foundation for high-channel-count shows, large props, mega trees, matrices, and more.

What’s Inside the Kit

The Baldrick17 DIY Build Kit includes everything you need to complete a polished, weather-ready controller build:

  • Baldrick17 17-port pixel controller board
  • Dual Mean Well LRS-350-12 power supplies (700 W total @ 12 V DC output)
  • UV-stabilized Boxco P-Series outdoor enclosure
  • 20 × xConnect female pigtails (17 pixel outputs + 3 Turniput™ inputs)
  • Waterproof Ethernet passthroughs with RJ45 couplers for network in/out
  • IP68-rated cable glands, mount plates, brackets, and stainless hardware
  • Outdoor-rated power cord and high-temp silicone wiring
  • Turniput™ pinout plugs, drilling template, and bonus cable gland tool set

Every part is chosen to work together cleanly inside the enclosure, so you can skip the guesswork and focus on building.

DIY-Friendly, Pro-Grade Hardware

The Baldrick17 DIY Build Kit is designed to make assembly straightforward while still delivering a professional-quality end result. The included drilling template, mounting plates, glands, and labeled components help ensure a clean, reliable build.

This kit requires basic comfort with tools and wiring. We recommend having:

  • Basic hand tools (drivers, cutters, hex keys)
  • A drill with appropriate bits for glands and passthroughs
  • Ferrule and terminal crimping tools
  • A multimeter (recommended)
